Sometimes, I just need a break from lettering, illustrations, and colors. But I still want to stay creative. What could I do? Hmm… then it hit me — why not try something vintage? Yes!
Personalized Vintage Cards! That sounds like a fun way to switch things up while still practicing my creativity. I’m excited to give it a try!
If you’re feeling the same, maybe you’d like to join me in making something nostalgic and charming. Let’s bring a little vintage flair into our day!
Some of the vintage things I searched for via internet are the following:
- stamp
- old clock
- butterfly
- vintage icons
- banners
- logo designs
- compass
- type writer
- old camera
- retro vintage vectors
- hipster logo
- retro icons
- washi tape designs
When creating my personalized vintage cards, I decided to stick with an earthy color palette. I chose soft, natural tones like white, yellow, brown, bronze, gray, and black.
Picking the right colors is super important! Bright, bold colors like red or neon blue-green can throw off the whole vintage vibe. But deeper, muted shades like dark red or rusty blue-green? Those fit perfectly and really bring out that timeless, vintage feel.
A quick note: some of the icons I used are free for personal use. However, if I’ve accidentally used an image that requires credit, please let me know.
I have the utmost respect for creators and want to ensure proper credit is given. I certainly didn’t mean any harm, and I’m grateful for any understanding in advance.
Now, let’s get to the fun part! I’m thrilled to share my handmade and personalized vintage cards. These little pieces of nostalgia are a joy to create, and sticking with earthy tones made them feel even more authentic.
If you’re into creating your own vintage designs, don’t be afraid to experiment with different shades, but remember to keep them subtle and classic for that perfect vintage look. Can’t wait to see what you come up with!
Can you spot the difference? Yes, there is one!
This time, I wanted to try something new with my design – something less colorful and more vintage. To add that special touch, I used dry materials like textured gift wrap, dried flowers, crumpled paper, and even bits of yarn.
It’s amazing how adding these simple elements can bring your design to life and spark fresh creative ideas.
Stepping away from my usual bold colors, this project felt like a refreshing break. Creating something vintage and understated was just what I needed.
It’s fun to experiment and see where it takes you.
